#DS4OERS #thoughtactivity 🤩 @mackiwg🤔 Just wondering can mastodon be used as a discussion platform for a school for the students and teachers to share ideas....will it be privacy protected for our students....I feel it is better then having a website or magazine at the end of the year....wish to have some opinion on this😍
@geetakrishna Mastodon is a social media platform, designed for sharing conversations openly - so is perhaps not the best platform for learner communications, especially if the learners are young. There are other open source digital messaging platforms which support "private" channels, eg a channel only visible to the learners and teachers of a class.
