David thanks for explaining explicitly that “Open” constitutes of (1) price; where you do not have to pay to get a copy of the resource and, (2) permission; dealing with 4R’s (Reuse, Revise, Remix and Redistribute).

In Fiji, a national day dedicated to OER development will work because with the ongoing pandemic, there has been a shift to remote teaching and learning. Now, there is a greater need to have resources available to students digitally and as well design content that is more suited for online learning. All of this needs to be accomplished in a very short time frame, thus, the need to turn to the available open educational resources.

I joined the course because I am keen on learning more about what OER has to offer. Happy learning all!!
